Şekib Avdagiç, “Üretim, Lojistik ve Teknolojide Yeni Bir Türkiye Doğuyor”

İstanbul Ticaret Odası’nın Haziran 2026 Meclis Toplantısı’nda konuşan Şekib Avdagiç, Türkiye'nin önümüzdeki on yıllık dönemde küresel ekonominin yükselen güçlerinden biri olmaya aday olduğunu vurgulayarak, üretim-ihracat, lojistik ve enerji-teknoloji alanlarında tarihi bir sıçrama fırsatının bulunduğunu söyledi.

Jeopolitik Avantajımızı Ekonomik Güce Dönüştürmeliyiz
Dünyanın son 30 yılın en büyük ekonomik ve jeopolitik dönüşümünden geçtiğine dikkat çeken Avdagiç, şirketlerin artık sadece düşük maliyetli üretim merkezlerini değil, güvenli, istikrarlı ve erişilebilir ülkeleri tercih ettiğini belirtti.
Avdagiç'e göre Türkiye; Avrupa'nın tedarik güvenliği arayışı, Çin+1 stratejisinin sürmesi, Kızıldeniz ve Hürmüz Boğazı'ndaki risklerin artması nedeniyle küresel üretim ve ticaret haritasında çok daha önemli bir konuma yükseliyor.

Türkiye'nin Önündeki 3 Büyük Fırsat

1. Üretim ve İhracat Üssü Olmak
   Avrupa'nın tedarik zincirlerini çeşitlendirme çabaları Türkiye'yi yakın üretim merkezi haline getiriyor. Güçlü sanayi altyapısı ve yetişmiş insan kaynağıyla Türkiye'nin üretim kapasitesini daha üst seviyelere taşıma imkânı bulunuyor.
2. Bölgesel Lojistik Merkezi Olmak
   Orta Koridor, Kalkınma Yolu ve Körfez-Türkiye-Avrupa bağlantılarının önem kazanması, Türkiye'yi Asya ile Avrupa arasında vazgeçilmez bir lojistik merkez haline getirebilir. Kara koridorlarının stratejik değeri her geçen gün artıyor.
3. Enerji ve Teknoloji Merkezi Olmak
   Savunma sanayii, yenilenebilir enerji, veri merkezleri ve yüksek teknoloji yatırımları önümüzdeki dönemin yıldız sektörleri olarak öne çıkıyor. Türkiye'nin bu alanlarda yapacağı yatırımlar küresel rekabet gücünü artıracak.

Yeni Teşvikler Dönüşümün Anahtarı
İTO Başkanı, yeni teşvik sisteminin Türkiye'nin üretim ve yatırım gücünü artıracak önemli bir adım olduğunu belirterek, sanayi odaklı ve ihracata dayalı büyüme modelinin daha güçlü şekilde desteklenmesi gerektiğini ifade etti. Maliye politikaları, teşvikler ve finansman imkanlarının üretimi desteklemesi halinde Türkiye'nin yeniden şekillenen dünya ticaretinde çok daha güçlü bir konuma ulaşacağını söyledi.

Reel Sektörün En Büyük Sorunu, Yüksek Faiz
Konuşmasında iş dünyasının yaşadığı sorunlara da değinen Avdagiç, yüksek faiz ortamının reel sektör üzerinde ciddi baskı oluşturduğunu belirtti.
Özellikle ihracatçı firmaların yüksek finansman maliyetleri ve zayıflayan dış talep nedeniyle kârlılık baskısını daha yoğun hissettiğini ifade eden Avdagiç, üretimin ve ihracatın desteklenmesinin ekonomik büyümenin sürdürülebilirliği açısından kritik önem taşıdığını vurguladı.

Dünyanın İlk 10 Ekonomisi Hedefi Hayal Değil
Türkiye'nin artan jeopolitik öneminin tek başına yeterli olmadığını belirten Avdagiç, bu avantajın ekonomik değere dönüştürülmesi gerektiğini söyledi.
Üretken yatırımların artırılması, yüksek katma değerli sektörlerin güçlendirilmesi ve makroekonomik istikrarın korunması halinde Türkiye'nin önümüzdeki on yıl içerisinde dünyanın en büyük 10 ekonomisi arasına girmesinin sürpriz olmayacağını ifade etti.

İTO Seçimleri 27 Ekim'de
Haziran Meclis Toplantısı'nda bir diğer önemli gündem maddesi ise İTO seçimleri oldu. Avdagiç, İstanbul Ticaret Odası seçimlerinin 27 Ekim 2026 tarihinde Yeşilköy'deki İstanbul Fuar Merkezi'nde yapılmasının planlandığını açıkladı. Resmî duyurunun seçim kurulu teyidinin ardından yapılacağı belirtildi.

İTO Haziran 2026 Meclis Toplantısı, Türkiye ekonomisinin geleceğine ilişkin güçlü mesajların verildiği bir platform oldu. Küresel ticaret dengelerinin yeniden şekillendiği bir dönemde Türkiye; üretim, lojistik, enerji ve teknoloji alanlarında doğru adımları atabilirse yalnızca bölgesel bir güç değil, küresel ölçekte söz sahibi bir ekonomi haline gelebilir. İş dünyasının beklentisi ise bu tarihi fırsatların kalıcı refaha dönüştürülmesi yönünde birleşiyor.

Speaking at the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) June 2026 Assembly Meeting, Şekib Avdagiç emphasized that Türkiye is a candidate to become one of the rising powers of the global economy in the next decade, stating that there is a historic leap opportunity in the fields of production-exports, logistics, and energy-technology.

We Must Transform Our Geopolitical Advantage into Economic Power
Noting that the world is undergoing the biggest economic and geopolitical transformation of the last 30 years, Avdagiç stated that companies now prefer safe, stable and accessible countries, not just low-cost production centers.
According to Avdagiç, Türkiye is rising to a much more important position on the global production and trade map due to Europe's search for supply security, the continuation of the China+1 strategy, and increasing risks in the Red Sea and the Strait of Hormuz.

Türkiye's 3 Major Opportunities

1. Becoming a Production and Export Hub
   Europe's efforts to diversify supply chains are making Türkiye a nearshoring production center. With its strong industrial infrastructure and skilled human resources, Türkiye has the opportunity to take its production capacity to even higher levels.
2. Becoming a Regional Logistics Hub
   The increasing importance of the Middle Corridor, the Development Road, and Gulf-Türkiye-Europe connections can make Türkiye an indispensable logistics center between Asia and Europe. The strategic value of land corridors is increasing day by day.
3. Becoming an Energy and Technology Hub
   Defense industry, renewable energy, data centers and high-tech investments stand out as the star sectors of the upcoming period. Investments Türkiye will make in these areas will increase its global competitiveness.

New Incentives Are the Key to Transformation
The ITO President stated that the new incentive system is an important step that will increase Türkiye's production and investment power, and expressed that the industry-oriented and export-led growth model should be supported more strongly. He said that if fiscal policies, incentives and financing opportunities support production, Türkiye will reach a much stronger position in the reshaping world trade.

The Biggest Problem of the Real Sector: High Interest Rates
Also touching upon the problems experienced by the business world in his speech, Avdagiç stated that the high interest rate environment puts serious pressure on the real sector.
Stating that exporting companies feel the profitability pressure more intensely due to high financing costs and weakening external demand, Avdagiç emphasized that supporting production and exports is critical for the sustainability of economic growth.

The Goal of Top 10 Economies in the World is Not a Dream
Stating that Türkiye's increasing geopolitical importance is not enough on its own, Avdagiç said that this advantage must be transformed into economic value.
He stated that if productive investments are increased, high value-added sectors are strengthened and macroeconomic stability is maintained, it would not be surprising for Türkiye to rank among the top 10 largest economies in the world within the next decade.

ITO Elections on October 27
Another important agenda item at the June Assembly Meeting was the ITO elections. Avdagiç announced that the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce elections are planned to be held on October 27, 2026 at the Istanbul Expo Center in Yeşilköy. It was stated that the official announcement will be made after the confirmation of the election board.

The ITO June 2026 Assembly Meeting was a platform where strong messages about the future of the Turkish economy were given. In a period when global trade balances are being reshaped, if Türkiye takes the right steps in production, logistics, energy and technology, it can become not only a regional power but also an economy that has a say on a global scale. The expectation of the business world is united in turning these historic opportunities into lasting prosperity.
